Unleash your Wild-Side this Spring Break!

For many, the winter months can drag on. So what can we do to keep us from getting stir-crazy? What ignites us this time of year is the fact that Spring break is right around the corner. Planning the stereotypical 'Spring Break' trip seems very 2019. Discover the ways you can ‘unleash your wild-side’ and check every box on your bucket list this Spring Break.

1) Be present.

Psychology Today states, "... how do we stay present? The first thing to recognize is that try as we might, we really can only do one thing at a time, so we ought to do that thing wholeheartedly. Most of our time is spent in the past or the future, rather than the present moment. What we end up doing is passing through that moment on the way to somewhere else, and, in doing so, we miss the moment. That's how life ends up passing us by - we do it to ourselves. How should you stay present in the moment? Challenge yourself to leave work at the door, take a deep breath, and absorb everything around you. If you’re a photographer, consider sticking with a traditional polaroid camera. Also, consider finding an app that monitors your time spent on the phone. The more you are texting, uploading, and browsing, the less chance you'll have in seeing the fantastic scenery around you.

2) Be Adventurous.

Wary in the great outdoors? Now might be the right time to face that fear with a great hike. If you're in search of one - here are several accessible trails near us!

Want to go on a safari WITHOUT the long flight? Jump on the Wilds of Africa Adventure Safari Monorail at the Dallas Zoo in South Dallas! It's wheelchair accessible! Can you believe it?! Freedom is out there for you, no matter if you're running on two legs or two wheels. Make a list, step up to the plate, and embrace the opportunity around you.

3) Be Organized.

We realize tip number 3 isn't as fun as the rest of our tips, but it will still help you arrive and depart on time regardless if you got a little wild on your trip! Pack a small ziplock in your carry-on with all of your crucial travel information such as passport, driver's license, extra cash, and print outs of your flights and vehicle reservations in case technology decides to fail.
